Who Should Take the CISA Course?
To be eligible for the CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT) certification, candidates must meet specific experience requirements that validate their proficiency in IT governance.
To earn your CGEIT, you must:
- 📌 Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in managing, advising, or supporting the governance of IT-related initiatives within an enterprise.
- 📌 Include at least one (1) year of experience specifically related to the definition, establishment, and management of a governance framework for IT.
- 📌 Possess experience in at least two (2) of the remaining CGEIT domains (besides the one-year requirement above), which demonstrate your broad understanding of enterprise IT governance.
🔍 Note: While this experience is required for certification, it is not mandatory to attend the CGEIT training program. Candidates can take the training in preparation and submit the experience after passing the exam to earn certification.
